G6 and G7 Study Guides for the Tests Right Before Midterm Break

You were warned last week and told to study for the following tests last week.  You were also told what you were supposed to study.  Here is the same information I already gave you last week:

G6 Test #2:  What Makes Us Human? (Tuesday or Wednesday)

  • Use the last page of Test #1, What Makes Us Human?, to prepare to write an essay on our first essential question.
  • Use Reflection:  Brains vs. Brawn to know how to recognize and label all the skulls and craniums we studied and had a fun quiz on.
  • Use Comparing Neanderthals to Modern Humans to know some of the basic differences between humans and Neanderthals.
  • You need to know all the information on Study Guide (Chapter 4, Lesson 3):  Hunters and Gatherers except for #7 and the other side of the page.  You have to know how to spell “arthritis” correctly!
  • Make sure you really, really study Clash of the Cavemen:  Neanderthals versus Cro-Magnons.
  • There are 78 possible marks on the test that is five pages long with an extra assignment to work on once you have finished the test.

G7 Test #2:  Influence and Control (Thursday and Friday)

  • Study the mythology of Romulus and Remus and the influences of the Etruscans and the Greeks.  (The timeline is NOT included.)
  • Study the Map of Ancient Italy.  Make sure you know how to spell the labels properly.
  • Know the Roman Republic System of Government well and be prepared to answer questions about it.
  • There are about 80 possible marks on this test.  Study hard!

Good luck!
